ROV INDUCTION COURSE AS PER IMCA R-002

The ROV Induction Course consists of 4 weeks of realistic ROV pilot training adhering to Oil and Gas industry standards at IIPL, based in New Delhi, India. This intensive program incorporates Aviation standards in ROV operation. Students must commit to hard work to successfully complete the course.

Overview

Our goal is to provide top-notch ROV pilot training in a realistic environment, enabling candidates to confidently enter the Offshore ROV industry. Our center is equipped with a state-of-the-art ROV simulator featuring several pre-loaded missions with both Work Class and Observation Class ROVs. Additionally, we provide hands-on ROV training in a dedicated swimming pool using an actual ROV equipped with a gripper arm for underwater tasks.

Candidates will learn the ROV inspection standards currently used in the Offshore Industry for platform inspections, pipeline inspections, drill support, and more. Their flying performance will be assessed continuously by our experienced instructors, with debriefings after each mission to help them improve their piloting skills.

The training includes an extensive set of theory modules covering topics from offshore environment and safety to basic electronics, basic electricity, hydraulics, fiber optics, platform drawings, basic navigation, sonar navigation, troubleshooting, and fault finding. Workshop practicals will also be included, teaching skills like soldering, using an insulation tester, and operating a fiber optic tester.
